Abstract

The application of archaeological excavations in the nave of the temple of San Francisco de Popayán, was carried out between July 15 and October 31, 1985, the importance of this first report lies in the fact that it is an opportunity to awaken interest in this type of urban archaeology and the demonstration of the importance of interdisciplinary work, as well as the concern for the validity of the heritage assets of the city.
