Exotic conifers, new food for the common squirrel (Sciurus granatensis)
Abstract
In the Popayán plains, large extensions of exotic conifer plantations have been planted in recent years for the paper industry. In some regions there are still small pockets of native forest, especially along the banks of watercourses, where some of the most typical species of the regional fauna occasionally survive.
