Comments on the first six issues of Colombian novelties

Abstract

The journal was founded in 1954, when Dr. Reinaldo Muñoz Zambrano was rector of the Universidad del Cauca, as an organ of scientific dissemination of the Museum of Natural History. It was published approximately once a year until 1961. This first cycle closes with issue number six, in which the botanical discipline appears with an interesting work on orchids by Dr. Leslio A. Garay, Hungarian, linked for many years to Harvard University. The following is a synopsis of the contents of the journal during its first period, 1954 - 1961:
