Abstract
The Natural History Museum of the University of Cauca, one of the most complete and interesting for the exotic nature of some of its specimens in the country, was founded in 1936 by the then Rector Antonio J. Lemos Guzmán. It was the turn of the well-known Colombian ornithologist from Payan, Mr. Federico Carlos Lehmann V., to whom we owe interesting ornithological publications in which he describes new species belonging to the Colombian fauna. Mr. Lehmmann directed the institution until 1945, after which the Museum has continued to develop intensively under the competent and technical direction of Mr. Kjell von Sneidern.Downloads
