Association and autonomy: reflections on professional dignity and respect in the face of power dynamics at Hospital Universitario San José in Popayán, Colombia

Abstract

The history of the unionization of healthcare professionals, aimed at protecting our labor rights, is lamentable and is marked by the continuous migration from one entity to another, significant loss of income (mismanaged by dishonest administrators intending to enrich themselves at the expense of our professional practice), and constant restriction of our professional autonomy.
