Editorial: Recommendations for transformation of medical education in Colombia

Abstract

Recently, the Ministerio de Salud and the Ministerio de Educación prepared a document of recommendations aimed at transforming medical education in Colombia (1). The document has been prepared by a commission composed of public and private university authorities, the National Academy of Medicine, the Medical Ethics Tribunal, EPS (Empresas Promotoras de Salud) and IPS (Instituciones Prestadoras de Salud) representatives, a health secretariat and a postgraduate student. This is an important document that must be known and discussed by the academic community of the Facultad Ciencias de la Salud.
