List of Birds Recorded in Munchique National Park, Cauca

Abstract

The present species list gathers information on bird specimens collected in the Munchique area, which are in the main ornithological collections of the country. It includes visual records and recent photographs (Rv) and bibliographic data of some species that have not been recorded in recent years.

The collections consulted were those of the Instituto de Ciencias Naturales de la Universidad Nacional (UN) Bogotá; Unidad de Investigación Federico Medem, UNIFEN IDERENA (IND), including materials recently deposited in that collection by the Museo de Historia Natural de la Universidad del Cauca; the collection of the Universidad del Valle which includes the rich collection of INCIVA, recently incorporated to Univalle (UV), which was almost entirely made by E.C. LEHMAN and which has valuable materials from Munchique and other areas of the Department of Cauca.
