Abstract

In connection with the preparation of an Orchid Flora of Colombia and Ecuador, sundry unidentified collections from that arca appeared to be referable to the obscurely known, monotypic genus Oliveriana. However, when the type of Oliveriana egregia Rchb. f. was examined, these collections proved to represent an as yet undescribed species.
