Observación reciente del Quetzal de Cresta, (Pharomachrus antisianus (D´orbigny, 1837)) en un bosque aledaño a Popayán, Cordillera Central de Colombia
Resumo
El Quetzal de Cresta de distribuye en los Andes premontanos principalmente entre los 1400 y los 2800msnm en la zona subtropical desde el noroeste de Venezuela en Mérida, Táchira, Trujillo y el oeste de Zulia hasta las yungas de Cochabamba al noroeste de Bolivía, pasando por la Serranía de Perijá y las tres cordilleras colombianas, Ecuador y más hacia el sur a lo largo de la vertiente oriental de los Andes (Meyer and Brown, 1986; Fjeldsa and Krabbe, 1990).
