Abstract

In recent years, as I have noted on previous occasions, the dispersion of species from open habitats to previously forested regions has continued to increase. On this occasion I noted new distribution records for some species in the upper Magdalena River valley in the region between the towns of Garzón and San Agustín in the Department of Huila. For ease of reference the names used here are the same as those employed by R. M. de Schauensee in The Birds of the Republic of Colombia 1948-1959.
